Senior Moments – travel, production and editing…oh my

Well, we are 3/4 of the way through our production for our new show “Senior Moments”

I’ve trekked to the highest mountain in Tecate, Mexico and spent time with the Godmother of Spa, Deborah Szekely.

I’ve danced with the cast of Dreamland Drive-In at Dolly Parton’s park, nestled in the shadows of the great smoky mountains and laughed with some amazing characters there.

I’ve spent time with 92 yer old Jane who lives in her home thanks to the support of a loving family, her nurse Sue and the Hospice of the Bluegrass’ Extra Care Program.

I still plan to get to MN so I can learn from the experts at Mayo Clinic, so stay tuned for that.

There were moments, when the cameras were rolling when I had to pause and wonder…How did I get here and is this really happening. I felt so happy working on this project knowing our main intention  was to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

I am extremely grateful for the people around me – all of them are donating their time to make this happen.

Aaron, Jason, Me, Tori and Debra L

For Jason, who’s creativity is beyond any others.  He understands me, my intentions and when we work together we are both focused on the same goal – inspiring, educating and having fun.  I know he will create a beautiful show visually and emotionally.  He brought us Aaron, who is also an amazing videographer.

For Debra L., who’s organization skills are matched equally with her dependability.  I know when she is there that everything will be handled and no-one will have to worry about much of anything. An invaluable asset when dealing with different locations and talent.

For Tori, who unexpectedly showed up as a team member  and works with the production team to ensure they have everything they need when they  need it.  Not your typical 22 year old, this one.

For Eric, who, while not always there, tows the rope and keeps things stable while I try and manifest my dream – I know he believes in me and is cheering me on from wherever he happens to be.

I am grateful

I am in awe

…and I can’t wait to see this thing.

I think it is time for positive, uplifting and inspirational content…..  Looking forward to sharing it with you in November on Kentucky Educational Television; the broadcaster for our first show, The Journey into Wellbeing.

This truly is a labor of love and we rely on the support provided to us by these partners
